VIGIL3 Critical Line Monitoring
Critical signal paths of Voice Alarm systems must be fully monitored with faults detected, reported and quickly acted upon.
All critical signal paths of a Voice Alarm/VACIE system must be fully monitored and any detected faults reported clearly and at relevant points on the system.
Automatic monitoring is carried out, unobtrusively, from the Fire Officer’s microphone, through the amplifiers, to the end of the loudspeaker lines. Power supplies, internal battery charger and backup batteries are also included in the monitoring processes.
It is vital that any faults detected with a Voice Alarm system are reported and acted upon.
Our VIGIL3 voice alarm system – including our range of monitoring products – are fully tested and certified to BS EN 54. Voice Alarm monitoring products are included in this testing process which is carried out by a recognised, third party testing house.

BS EN 54: Fire Detection & Fire Alarm Systems, is a mandatory standard that specifies requirements and laboratory testing for every component of fire detection and fire alarm system.
UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking on products replaces CE marking in the UK and requires that certification of construction products, such as VACIE / Voice Alarm Control & Indicating Equipment is performed by a UK-based approved body.
