The successful candidate will work in our busy engineering team and we are looking for ambitious individuals who are enthusiastic about developing a successful career within Voice Alarm and Emergency Voice Communication engineering. The successful candidate will carry out commissioning, fault investigation and maintenance at customers’ sites throughout the UK.
Our main office is in Crowborough, East Sussex and most works are carried out within London and the South East area. On occasions, works further afield may be required, these occasions are likely to require overnight stays.
Working patterns are a mixture of day and night works. Weekend working is often required, this is paid at an enhanced rate.
You will be joining our team of on site commissioning and maintenance engineers where your responsibilities will include:
- Commissioning of Voice Alarm and Emergency Voice Communication Systems.
- On site installation, commissioning and system modifications.
- Routine maintenance of Baldwin Boxall life safety systems.
- On site fault finding and repairs of Baldwin Boxall systems.
- Completion of relevant paperwork.
Product specific and other job-related training will be provided to the successful candidate.
The Person
Our engineers need to be self-motivated, confident, have great attention to detail, excellent communication skills and consistently produce high quality work. They will be able to work independently but also be part of a team and enjoy a challenge.
Ideal attributes would be:
- Previous experience with PA/VA and/or Fire Systems commissioning.
- An understanding of the relevant British standards.
- Competent on Microsoft Office.
- Possess a current ECS Card or willing to undertake the training required.
- Attention to detail when completing paperwork.
- Current driver’s license.
The Package
- Salary dependent on experience.
- Working a minimum 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday).
