Baldwin Boxall is seeking a motivated and organised individual to join our busy and supportive Sales Team. This is a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave for approximately 9 months, with the potential to extend to 12 months.

The Role

The successful candidate will work in the Sales Office under the supervision of the Sales Manager. They will be required to assist the Sales Coordinator and Service Coordinator with all office duties.

The Person

We are looking for a self-motivated person who has great attention to detail, excellent communication skills and can consistently produce high quality work. They will be able to work independently but also as part of a team.

General tasks will include:

  • Order entry onto our ERP system. We currently use Access and Relator but also work with the whole Microsoft office Suite.
  • Provide telephone support to customers advising them of product lead-times, pricing, discounts and sales or service information.
  • Ensure orders are expedited through the system and customers are kept informed of any changes to expected deliveries.
  • Work closely with dispatch department to ensure orders are shipped on time on the correct service.
  • Liaise with the sales team, production team and service team. Provide support to ensure service levels remain at the highest level.
  • Support the training team with planning of customer training sessions.
  • General daily administration tasks
  • Any other duties as required.

Skills Required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word and Excel
  • Ability to remain calm and perform effectively under pressure
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer focus with a commitment to delivering excellent service
  • Professional and confident telephone manner.
  • Good numerical and analytical ability.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously (essential).
  • Collaborative approach, able to work effectively across different teams and departments in the business.
  • Positive, approachable, and adaptable with a friendly, professional attitude.

Additional skills

Language skills would be beneficial

Experience of working in a busy sales environment and with associated ERP software systems would be beneficial.
