Meet Ben Cusack, Warehouse Operative
Ben joined the warehouse team in May 2024 and assists his colleagues with picking orders for customers and all related packing and despatch duties.
What was your first job?
My first job was in retail, stacking shelves in Waitrose!
What would you change about the industry you work in?
Making it accessible to people all over the world, making the world a safer place and reducing emergencies.
If you weren’t doing what you are doing now, what would you be doing?
I would like to think I would be a professional footballer, however, I would probably be doing something in sport, such as a coach or a PE teacher.
What can’t you live without?
Insulin!
In my spare time…
I enjoy sports such as basketball, football and darts – whether its watching or actually taking part! I’m also currently attempting to teach myself how to play the electric guitar. Mostly, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.
Where would you like to time travel to?
I would probably time travel to the late 20th Century to see what life was like without modern day technology and to see what life was like growing up for my parents.
What building would you like to be locked in overnight?
I would love to be locked in IKEA, probably find a suitable bedroom in there and have a good nights rest!
What would you do if you were Prime Minister for the day?
Give more recognition to people in jobs such as the military, nurses and frontline jobs that keep us all safe. Also, I would fix the roads so my car doesn’t get broken due to potholes.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Be open to opportunity, try everything and if it doesn’t work out, another opportunity will follow. No grind, no glory.
What is the best advice you would give?
Don’t worry and be happy. Try to push yourself out of your comfort zone without adding too much pressure upon yourself!
Film or box set – what are you watching now?
Peaky Blinders and Forrest Gump.
Who is your biggest inspiration?
My Nan – she is wicked and someone I aspire to be like!
