Fletching Cricket – 1st Team – Now Division 2 Champions!
Chris Hartup (Sales Manager) plays cricket through the summer for Fletching 1st Team in Division 2. The team plays in the very competitive East Sussex Cricket league, which has 12 divisions in total. They played 18 league games (Chris played 15 of them), winning most of them along the way.
This year, on the last game of the season (3rd September), Fletching Cricket Team beat Battle at home, to win Division 2 and be crowned Champions!! They are now promoted to Division 1 of the East Sussex League (Top Division).
This would have made Terry Baldwin very happy, as a resident of the village, but also a regular at the Clubhouse, having a pint of Harveys and cheering the team on!
The other team to be promoted in 2nd Place was Chiddingly, who our Financial Director – Neil Williams played for many years.
