A Hive of Activity

An Update on Our Sponsored Beehive

The Baldwin Boxall sponsored beehive in West Sussex has seen a flurry of new activity in recent weeks. The end of May saw the bees expanding at a fast rate; the reason being is to make sure that there are enough bees in the workforce for the summer honey crop. The pollen that the bees are starting to bring into the hive now will make for a very flavourful spring honey!

The worker bees are currently working a three mile radius from the hive, which is evident by the different colour variations in the pollen being collected. Our hive currently has three honey boxes on it and will probably need more before the spring harvest has ended!
