Baldwin Boxall Introduces New, Configurable Large Format Touchscreen Control
Life safety expert, Baldwin Boxall, has added to its family of VIGIL3 Voice Alarm products with the release of the new, EN54-approved large format touch screen. Linked to a BVRDTSM microphone, the sophisticated new BVRDTSMMON touchscreen enables graphical control of a voice alarm system without the need for a PC.
Designed with simplicity and ease of use in mind for both installers and end users, the touchscreen monitor plugs directly into the back of the BVRDTSM touchscreen microphone, thus completely bypassing the need for an external PC or other interface. The device is fully configurable and requires no specialist tools or programming knowledge to set up. Once configured, the BVRDTSMMON enables full and intuitive graphical control of a VIGIL3 voice alarm system.
The user interface is completely customisable and can be designed according to user requirements, even for the most complex installations. The look and feel can be fully personalised with the ability to import wallpapers, company logos, contact details and floor plan graphics. Link buttons to navigate between layers may be added and moved at will to enable users to “drill down” user interfaces. Level control and zone buttons may be added, moved, and resized to respond to customers’ changing requirements. The user is able to add group buttons to automatically select multiple zones simultaneously as required.
The BVRDTSMMON is straightforward to use, allowing easy and intuitive access to all of the touch screen microphone functions including general paging; emergency paging; non-emergency message recording, scheduling and playback to any/all zones; background music routing to any/all zones; full time- and date-stamped system fault logs for easy fault diagnosis; and time- and date-stamped user activity logs which provide an audit trail when required.
