Type B Outstations for the CARE2 EVC system are robust, easy-to-use and dependable
Type B Outstations for CARE2 EVC systems are available as surface mounted or flush with a separate bezel, with green or stainless steel finishes. There are also options for mounting a refuge outstation in a plasterboard wall or fitting within a weatherproof enclosure.
Type B Outstations provide hands-free, two-way voice communication upon initiation of a call. These units can be included on the same system as our CARE2 Type A (Fire Telephone) Outstations for a complete EVC solution.Â
CARE2 EVC system is an alternative to our popular (loop-wired) OmniCare EVC system.
Additional Features:
- Green or stainless steel finish
- Induction loop output to feed an external amplifier
- Surface mountable (optional flush mount bezel available)
- Call is reset at the control console when the occupant of the refuge area has been safely evacuated
- Hands-free, speech steered, operation
- Can be included with any CARE2 outstation on the same panel
Other outstations available include Fire Telephones, Steward Telephones and Emergency Assistance/Toilet Alarms.

BS5839-9 is a code of practice for those who install, maintain and commission EVC systems, giving guidance on how to install an effective system as part of a fire detection and alarm system covering all components including wireless.
BS9999 is a BSI Standards Publication providing guidance for fire safety in the design, management and use of buildings. It includes the provision of evacuation methods and placement of EVC systems.
