Details

Description

The OmniCALL OCTSIM is an external topographical monitor that connects directly to the OCTSID desk unit, giving operators a visual overview of the EVC system mapped against the actual building layout.

The display tailors to each installation’s specific needs. Engineers configure layers for different system views or zones, upload custom background images including site plans and floor plans, and position outstation indicators to match the real building. This gives operators an immediate visual reference during an emergency – they can see at a glance which areas need attention without interpreting abstract system data.

The OCTSIM connects to the OCTSID using the same approach as Baldwin Boxall’s VIGIL3 touchscreens, so the setup process is consistent and familiar to engineers who have worked with that platform. No PC is required, which reduces hardware overhead and removes a potential point of failure. There are no recurring software or licensing costs.
