VIGIL2 DSP Networking
Digital Networking with single-mode or multi-mode Fibre, Copper, or Combination.
BVRDNET provides a digital networking solution for the VIGIL EVAS DSP-controlled Voice Alarm system routers.
Connected in a loop configuration, the network can employ either copper cable, fibre, single-mode or multi-mode, or any combination. No matter which cabling type is used, the network remains fully monitored and continues to function even in the event of cable damage at a single location.
Features
- Connected in a loop configuration
- Continues to function in the event of cabling damage at a single location
- The network can be copper, multi mode fibre, single mode fibre or any combination of these
- Six (slow speed option) or fourteen (fast speed option) concurrent audio channels with two RS485 channels
- Network status indicators
- Fully monitored
- Optional system reset feature
- Up to 126 systems can be digitally networked – multiple copper / fibre loops required for systems greater than 36 nodes
- The controller (BVRDNET/BVRDNET2M4) is factory fitted and configured from the router’s menu
- Slow speed option providing six concurrent audio channels with two RS485 channels
- Fast speed option providing fourteen concurrent audio channels with two RS485 channels
- Audio bandwidth is 30Hz-20kHz
- Typical maximum distance:
- Copper – 300m at slow speed and 200m at fast speed. (Greater distances are possible with some cable types.)
- Multi-mode fibre – for slow and fast speed connections of 3km (OM1), 2Km (OM2) and 2km (OM3)
- Single-mode fibre – for OS1 is 2km and for OS2 is 4km

Safe & Compliant
BS EN 54: Fire Detection & Fire Alarm Systems, is a mandatory standard that specifies requirements and laboratory testing for every component of fire detection and fire alarm system.
UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking on products replaces CE marking in the UK and requires that certification of construction products, such as VACIE / Voice Alarm Control & Indicating Equipment is performed by a UK-based approved body.
Key Benefits
- Fully BS EN54 Tested & Certified
- Options for Copper, Fibre, single or multi-mode, or combination
- Network Monitoring
- System Status Indicatiors
- 126 systems can be digitally networked
