CARE2 Radial Wired EVC System
Communication when you need it most
Emergency Voice Communication (EVC) systems provide two-way communication between emergency services or building management and people inside a building who require assistance with evacuation in an emergency.
Our CARE2 EVC system features fixed, monitored, bidirectional communication outstations including Disabled Refuge, Fire Telephone, Steward Telephone and Roaming Telephone. In addition, Disabled Toilet / Emergency Assistance Alarms can all be connected to a single control console which features LCD display and a rotary encoder/control.Â
Control points allow voice communication between a central location point and a number of points known as ‘outstations’ located around a building or building complex. Emergency assistance alarm points operate on a sound alarm and reassurance tone method.
CARE2 has been developed to provide an alternative EVC option for installers and end-users, complementing our popular loop-wired OmniCare and OmniCarePLUS systems.
- CARE2 is a radial wired EVC system.
- Disabled refuge, emergency assistance alarms, fire fighter telephones, steward telephones and roaming telephones can be controlled from one panel.
- Fully networkable. Networked panels are wired in a loop configuration.
- Optional link to fire detection system via interface module.
- System configuration via SD card, front panel or PC connection.
- Facilitates clear communication during an emergency event.Â
- Control Panels and Network Panels are supplied as 4-way. Simply add additional line cards to expand each panel up to 16-way.
- Connect up to 16 outstations per Panel.
- Control Panels feature LCD screen and rotary encoder/control.
- Roaming telephone handsets are available for CARE2. The handsets are monitored when stored in the specially designed enclosure. The green reassurance LEDs in the enclosure provide an ‘at-a-glance’ confirmation that the handset is healthy.
(NB: CARE2 is not set up as a system by default at the factory and will require some assembly and configuration on site.)

Safe & Compliant
BS5839-9 is a code of practice for those who install, maintain and commission EVC systems, giving guidance on how to install an effective system as part of a fire detection and alarm system covering all components including wireless.
BS9999 is a BSI Standards Publication providing guidance for fire safety in the design, management and use of buildings. It includes the provision of evacuation methods and placement of EVC systems.
