Details

Description

The OmniCALL OCTSID is a desk-mounted touchscreen unit with integrated handset, providing a dedicated control point for EVC system operators at reception desks, control rooms or security stations.

It connects directly to any master station or expansion panel on an OmniCALL system, with one unit per connection point. No additional interface hardware is needed, which keeps installation straightforward and removes a potential point of failure. A master station isn’t required – the OCTSID functions within systems built entirely around expansion panels.

The system handles Local/Touchscreen switching automatically, so there’s no need to switch modes between the master station and desk unit. Operators manage calls, answer fire telephone requests, place calls on hold and manage call queues directly from the touchscreen. The system handles call prioritisation automatically, so the most critical communications reach the operator first.

Time-stamped fault logs and system activity records for the entire network are accessible directly from the unit, supporting easier diagnostics, maintenance planning and compliance reporting.

Handset volume adjusts at the unit. There’s no NFC or user login requirement, which keeps operation simple and immediate for EVC applications.
